Breakfast + School

Mozambique is one of the poorest countries in the world, where food is a precious commodity. Many Mozambicans only have access to one meal a day.

“We have many projects in the mission, one of them and perhaps the most important is the breakfasts we give in primary schools. Thanks to the help of the Messi Foundation, which has supported this project since 2015. There are 40 schools and 3 orphanages in which we serve breakfast to about 15,000 children every day. It is a project that changed their lives a lot, since these kids were not used to having breakfast. Many of them eat only once a day. Beyond helping with nutrition, it also helped with school development, increasing enrollment and ending dropouts. The children who were not in school began to go to school so they could have breakfast every day.”

All projects are for human promotion, that is, to receive something, you have to give something, he explains.
